Three unrelated things:

First, I watched The Prestige last night and it's pretty greatastic. You should watch it. Right now.

Second, I hate washing things. Counters, cars, dishes, floors, windows, doesn't matter, it's all terrible. I'm not a good washer. I was washing some things for mom today and I thought, "Surely it has been an hour now!" and I looked at that clock...it had been 15 minutes. O_O

Third, the other day I was watching some Marilyn Manson movies on youtube, just because I was curious. Creepy? Extremely. We're talking serious jibbly jibblies here. But at the same time, it was also kind of interesting...as I watched his concerts and interviews, I found out something about him: He seriously hates Jesus. Now you might think "well DUH!" but what I mean is, most people reject Jesus by denying him or believing something else, but Mr. Manson is different. It seems as though he actually acknowledges the truth about who Jesus is and what he said, and yet STILL makes a conscious decision to turn against him. It's as if he believes Jesus existed and was God's son, but he hates what He said, and he hates that He's the only way to heaven. So he rejects Him and curses Him. I watched as Manson stood behind a giant pulpit at his concert, almost like a dictator, and all the people were screaming out stuff, and Manson did his screamy song all about hating Christ, and then started like ripping pages out of a Bible and stuff...It was creepy, but interesting too. Honestly, it made me kind of sad when I thought of all the joy I've gotten out of a life with Christ and then looked at the way his life is and watched as he hurled insults at the Lord. I think he knows what he's doing and he has an idea of what's in store for him, but he doesn't care. He hates Jesus.

EDIT: Another interesting thing I noticed was that he never mentions a word about Buddha or Allah or any other "gods". It was only Jesus that he was hating on. That's one of the things that makes me believe he's acknowledged the truth and rejected it. That's also one of the marvelous things about Christ: He's real and that realness shows up in people's lives, whether they love it or hate it. I don't see such an affect with false gods.

My friend Allen didn't know who Hugh Jackman is... I was kind of saddend by that. And I really want to see that movie. I mean COME ON, Christian Bale AND Hugh Jackman? You can't get much better than that. lol

Man, my brain is fried. I'm ready for finals to be over, and I haven't even started! lol

I think washing stuff is soothing, maybe I'm just weird. But then I break out into song, it's pretty great.

Marilyn Manson was creepy in my eyes before, but now he's really creepy. Also, he probably does most of the stuff he does for shock value. But still, creepy guy.

haha, that's EXACTLY what I said when I saw the preview! I had no idea what it was about, but I saw hugh jackmen and christian bale, so I begged my fiance to go get it for me. I watched it, I loved it. The sad thing is though, that I wanted to like both of them sooo much, but I couldn't help thinking about how much I iddn't like them, because htey were so mean.

Alfredo: A lot of it might be for shock value, but I also found that he's quite artistic and thoughtful, so I think a lot of it is done for expression. Like maybe there's actually meaning behind it in his mind. But that doesn't make it any less creepy, heh.

And as for the movie, it wasn't just that it had to heroic actors, although that was a HUGE plus, but it was also an original plot as far as I know (talk to Cory if you want to know how great it is to see an original plot for a change, heheh) and it was well made/written/etc. You should watch it! ;)

beccapricious: heh, yeah they were both really great but both pretty terrible at the same time.

Becca, you should watch the Oklahoma play with Hugh Jackman as Curly.

He has an amazing voice and my love for him increased after I saw that play. Although Oklahoma is a creepy play.
