Upon further research, I've found that parkour and free running are actually different activities. Parkour says get from point A to point B as fast as possible while conserving as much energy as you can (useful for escaping bad guys), whereas Free Running is more like get from point A to point B as fast as you can and do a bunch of sweet looking moves on the way (in other words, they aren't concerned about your energy levels so much as long as you look cool).

Therefore, Andrew and I hope to be free runners rather than traceurs. Who knew? ^_^

You realize that you will always get from point A to point be while conserving energy. It's sort of a fundamental law, the whole conservation of energy thing.

If you mean while expending the least amount of energy, then you'd have to move at an infinitely slow pace.
