This is interesting. I'm intrigued by the reaction this man gets from the guy who approaches him. It looked like a small picture of a Bible scene when you read about things like when Stephen was preaching and finally the people covered their ears, screamed at the top of their lungs, dragged him outside, and stoned him. This isn't nearly that intense, but as I watched this movie and a few others, you can definitely see similar reactions in people as those that Stephen got. Many of the street preachers I saw seemed a bit foolish in that they just argued and stuff, but I like this guy because he just stands there and shouts out the gospel and quotes scripture, not even stopping to get into any foolish arguments. I don't know, it's interesting. He's got courage though, that's for sure. =)

At first I didn't like it because I was like "is it really good to ignore people" but then I realized this guy just wanted to make trouble. He wanted to make the preacher look foolish but he ended up looking dumb, and the taunts he used to try to save face were embarrassing. I also liked that they had someone to stand by and talk to people and pray with them.

Hmmmm...
Well, I just have to say that I know when I see people doing that, it offends me. I can only imagine what people like the bitter screamer would feel like. Not to say that they are wrong in what they're trying to do and that we are not supposed to preach the Gospel where we are, but I just think there are better ways to love people. If that is indeed their goal, to love people, and to bring light and life to them, I think there could be a more humble and gentle approach. I don't know... And I'm not saying I have a better way of doing it, I just think that reaching them where they are, and speaking their language is vital. Otherwise, how will they hear? I mean, don't get me wrong, God is sovereign, He can make anything happen, and anyone hear. But honestly, He didn't come to bring condemnation. Some people have never been exposed to the truth and have life long sin patterns and addictions, to just stand there at night yelling Scripture at them, I don't think that's gonna make someone want to leave those life styles. Or want help for that matter. I just think we need to be a bit more careful and gentle... We don't want to be a hypocritical mockery of Christ and His message.
*Sigh* But hey, what do I know? =)
Wow. What a book. O_O
I wouldn't say it's the best idea either (although I greatly admire his courage), but I was just intrigued by the response it got. If you went out and started shouting about how great rubber duckies are, I doubt you'd get very many people screaming back in your face, but if you go talk about Jesus and salvation, people get all weird.
Yes, you're totally right about that.
Hmmmmmm... Now I really want to go out and scream about rubber duckies!! XD Care to join? =D Hahaha.
Be careful what you ask of me, lol. If it was with you I'd totally go do it.
>_<
HAHAHAAHA. WHAT. Ok. Let's go.
Wow, the rude guy left just before the part he needed to hear...
:D
